Get ready to elevate your skills and hockey IQ 

 

Wild West Hockey Camp, in Great Falls, Montana, is dedicated to providing specialized on-ice and off-ice training for young hockey enthusiasts aged 6-13. Our expert coaching team prioritizes enhancing hockey IQ, skill development, and fostering a love for the game. Join us to experience top-tier training programs and collaborations with GFAHA, Great Falls Americans and University of Providence. 

 

Camp daily schedule for each age group is available in the registration descriptions. 

​Players will get 3 days ::

- two 1.5 hour sessions of on-ice training
- 2 hours off-ice training, shooting and skill development
Lunch, drinks and snacks provided.

 

Awards will be earned. Competitions will keep it fun. Players will receive a camp Jersey, training shirt and bag of swag to remember their time in the Wild West.

Senior Coach

Marc Troyer

Marc is a committed coach that desires to bring the best out of each player. He grew up playing on ponds and outdoor rinks in Alberta and Saskatchewan. His love of the game and passion for the sport kept him involved as he started a family. He has been coaching 6U-14U with GFAHA for 17 years. He brings extensive leadership, skill building techniques and consistent feedback of the player's development. Marc is looking forward to being part of the unstoppable momentum the hockey program has seen recently.

Senior Coach

Casey Shaw

Casey brings quality experience as a player and coach. He played junior hockey in Canada- 3 years playing in the KIJHL with the Golden Rockets and Grand Forks Border Bruins; one year with the Estevan Bruins. Casey committed to one year of college hockey in Minnesota before moving back to Montana to study nursing. He coached 5 years as the assistant for the AAA Timberwolves in Strathmore and 3 years as head coach for the AAA Timberwolves 10u and 12u program. Casey was the off-ice workout coordinator for the Helena Bighorns for 2 years. He is now involved with GFAHA as a 6u and 8u coach.

Josh Coulombe

Josh played on team Montana for six years and experienced hockey at the AAA level playing for the Cyprus Timber Wolves in Cyprus, Alberta. Josh also played Junior A for the Bozeman Icedogs. He brings dynamic experience from coaching five years with the Butte Cobras and as the current Montana Tech ACHA Assistant Coach and 10U coach.

Coach

Sam Duehlmeier

Sam grew up in a hockey household in Calgary, Alberta, with a power skating coach working numerous camps. He played Junior hockey for the Great Falls Americans for three seasons as forward and defenseman. Same is the current defenceman for the University of Providence Argos. He has ten years experience participating in power skating clinics, as well as checking and skills camps. He has spent six years coaching at skills and power skating camps.

Coach

Jase Troyer

Jase started hockey at age five playing for GFAHA then excelled at the highschool level and played for Team Montana AA. Jase played for Treasure State Royals 16AA and Wasatch Renegades 18AAA. Most recently, Jase is playing for Great Falls Americans NA3HL.

Coach

Xander Troyer

Xander started playing hockey at age four and stayed in GFAHA for nine years. He moved on to AA in Missoula, Montana, playing for the Treasure State Royals U14 and U16. Xander took the opportunity to play in Salt Lake City, Utah competing at the AAA level for the Wasatch Renegades and will continue there this 2025 season.
